Chiang Mai has a vibrant and diverse music scene and Progressive Jazz is riding a wave in 2007 with live music every night of the week in one venue or another. The North Gate Jazz Co-Op is my favourite despite the very difficult lighting conditions...

The playing area was lit by a single 100w light bulb hanging in a metal shade just in front of the drummer and I had no real hope of getting anything out of this venue until they put in a couple of spotlights but three or four shots worked out OK. This at 3200 with White Balance set to tunsgsten. No noise reduction in processing.
